As it is now 7th June I feel an up date would be welcome by many.
ReplyDeleteAs a volunteer I can advise that the 3rd egg regretably did not hatch and can still be seen in the bottom of the nest. The good news is that there are two rapidly growing and healthy chicks being well cared for by their attentive parents!
ReplyDeleteThanks anon. It is not that unusual I think for single eggs in a nest not to hatch. I am slightly relieved; a late appearing chick would have had a tough time surviving against older siblings. On the bright side the two chicks that have hatched out have much better chances.
